Environmental Scientist - Intermediate

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute site-specific assessment, remediation and reclamation projects across various regions of Western Canada
  • Supervise onsite assessment and remediation activities, including contractors and junior staff
  • Maintain effective communication with team members, clients, government and stakeholders
  • Prepare and review project work plans, cost estimates and project status reports
  • Coach, train and mentor technical staff
  • Prepare and review technical reports
  • Implement corporate and client safety programs

Qualifications

  • University degree in environmental science or related discipline
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant upstream oil and gas environmental consulting experience
  • Eligible for membership with an applicable professional association
  • Thorough understanding of Alberta remediation and reclamation guidelines
  • Working knowledge of surface soil classification and weed identification
  • Excellent written, technical reporting and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and database entry
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships in a team environment
  • Valid drivers license.
