Senior Transportation Engineer/Project Manager

These services include: Transportation Planning and Master Plans, Transit Planning, Traffic Modeling and Analysis, Class Environmental Assessment Studies, Bridge Design, Preliminary and Detail Design and Construction Administration.
    Some of WSP’s Major Clients in the GTA include Halton Region, Peel Region, York Region, Durham Region, Niagara Region, City of Brampton, City of Toronto, Metrolinx and the Ministry of Transportation (MTO).
  • This is a unique opportunity to develop your career as a senior technical consultant or as a manager depending on the qualifications, interests and preferences of the successful candidate
  • Responsible for conceptual, functional and detailed design; quantity and cost estimates; all associated with urban and rural transportation projects
  • Liaison with clients, with regulatory authorities and the project team
  • Oversee preparation of reports, drawings, etc.
  • Assist with business development in the transportation sector depending upon the qualifications, interests and preferences of the successful candidate
  • Train, mentor and support junior staff


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or all other equivalent training
  • Minimum of 6-10 years engineering experience
  • PEO registration
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, In-Roads, Civil 3D and MicroStation software
  • Practical knowledge of the MTO, TAC design procedures and standards
  • Knowledge of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Process
  • Ability to liaise with clients and approval agencies
  • Relevant Canadian experience, preferably with MTO and GTA municipalities
  • Ability to undertake multiple simultaneous projects
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Experience and capability for preparation of client proposals
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff
