Project Manager – Industrial

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility and accountability for delivery of project in accordance with client requirements.
  • Coordinates all client and internal activities, maintains working relationship with all stakeholders.
  • Monitors and controls all contractual commitments ensuring that all work is being performed as specified in the terms of the agreement as well as the client expectations.
  • Track progress and performance of the team and direct the team as required to ensure all requirements for the project are met.
  • Develops the project execution plan outlining all activities for delivery of the project, including project scope, schedule, estimate, risk assessment and ensures the progress of all activities against the plan.
  • Prepare schedule and staffing plan for project execution to ensure that the project has sufficient and capable resources for the work.
  • Actively promotes safety in all aspects of the project, participates in the investigation of all incidents and audits, and ensures project team has the required training and safety certifications.
  • Ensures acceptance and sign off from the client on all work, invoices, additional work request, and change orders.
  • Responsible for complete all project related progress report both to the client and internally.


  • Eligible for membership with APEGS, PMP designation would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive project management experience in an industrial environment.
  • Strong safety awareness and demonstrated ability to manage a project in a safe manner.
  • Ability to work with a multidiscipline team.
  • Working knowledge of project controls.
  • Proven ability to deliver work according to plan and schedule in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities essential.
  • Knowledge of industrial operations such as potash, uranium, ag-processing, and oil and gas a requirement.
  • Sound knowledge of codes and standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to manage a team of professionals.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
